Verbo co-founder Caroline McCallum has been named one of the 2025 Fellows of the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA). This prestigious programme supports individuals with the potential to transform health and care across the UK.
Caroline has already met with other Fellows, received RADA business training, and been supported to pitch the Verbo app at last month’s Rewired 25, the UK’s number one digital health event.
Speaking about the news, Caroline said: “I am very excited to have been successful in getting a place on the 2025 cohort of the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA).
The expertise, experiences and learning will be absolutely amazing to strengthen Verbo’s innovation journey and future development. Joining the programme is an absolute privilege and I look forward to working together with the NIA team.”
Since 2015, the NIA programme has recognised “exceptional individuals representing innovations that meet a real need”.
Fellows benefit from three years of tailored support, designed to help innovations like Verbo scale nationally. For the Verbo team, this includes expanding reach across both health and education sectors to improve support for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
