As the Verbo Setting Lead you need to feel comfortable using and navigating Verbo so you can teach your staff team how to use it. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you become an expert!
Follow these simple steps and you will be a Verbo pro in no time. 🚀

💻 Login to Verbo
Check your emails for your temporary password email from hello@verboapp.co.uk.
You will need to use this password the first time you login to Verbo. You will then be prompted to change your password to something secure.
💡 Tip: Bookmark the login page for easy access next time
Not received a temporary password?
– Check your junk mail
– Make sure your IT Team has enabled Verbo emails (send them our Network Requirements Policy)
– Email hello@verboapp.co.uk where a member of the team will reset your password

🔎 Explore these areas on Verbo
Content Library
- Choose the age range you work with (early years, primary, secondary, post 16)
- Experiment with the filters, try searching for:
1. A whole class activity that supports Attention & Listening
2. An individual activity that supports Vocabulary
3. A group activity that supports Regulating Emotions
💡 Tip: deselect items under filters to clear them! - Select a video of your choice to watch, read the instructions and have a peek at the downloadable resources.
- Add a video to your favourites to watch later!
- Have a go at sharing a ‘guest’ link with a colleague (select the icon under the video)
Staff Training
- Similarly, explore the use of filters on the Staff Training section. Search for:
1. A Specialist Topic webinar
2. A Webinar Series that interests you
3. Use the search bar to find a webinar on Language Development - Select a video of your choice to watch and see how the training is delivered
- Check the Related Resources section to see if there is anything linked to the training webinar
📋 Complete these tasks on Verbo
Add your first staff member
- If you would like some help creating staff accounts, have a think who could help with this admin. Create an account for them first (be sure to set them up as a Verbo Setting Lead) so they can add and remove staff members.
- Check they received their login details
Add and screen a pupil
- This could be a fake pupil or a real pupil
- Once you have set them up, have a go at completing a screener
- Submit the screener and then select 3 targets to activate
- Head to the pupil’s profile, you will now see the active targets
- Click on the 👁 icon to view the videos linked to the target
- Watch the videos and explore the downloadable resources
- Play around with updating the target (met, partially met, not met) and then complete the target
- Select the Completed Targets card and/or download the Pupil Overview to see how it records progress and outcomes
- Remember to deactivate your fake pupil once you are finished so they aren’t included in your reporting stats!
Complete part of the Learning Environment Checklist
- Select a smaller learning space e.g. a sensory room, intervention room or shared learning space
- Choose one section on the environment audit e.g. visual supports
- Complete the checklist for this section to identify areas to enhance the environment
- Complete the Learning Environment Checklist Summary
- Use the content library to search for some of these resources, such as visual timetable and now/next board. (you will find the downloadable resources when you click to view the video)
- Share the results when you introduce Verbo to your staff team
Hopefully, you are now feeling more comfortable using Verbo and understand the different tools that are instantly available to you. If you ever need help or step-by-step instructions on how to carry out tasks, like completing a screener or creating a parent login, refer to the User Manual available on the Members Hub or on your Verbo login itself.
