Guest Speaker Workshop reminder
Our first Guest Speaker Workshop is just around the corner!
Did you know two children in every classroom are affected by DLD?
Join us on Tuesday 25th February at 3.30pm as Stephen Parsons, renowned Speech and Language Therapist and co-author of Word Aware, leads a session on Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
We will discuss:
- How to recognise the signs of DLD and how it may look like other conditions
- How DLD impacts on learning
- Inclusive teaching strategies that truly work and are minimally impactful to staff workload

Expressing Emotions
While Children’s Mental Health Week (3rd-9th February) has highlighted the importance of emotional well-being, these resources are valuable all year round for fostering emotional awareness and understanding in your pupils:
🎲 Emotions Dice: A fun and interactive way to start conversations about feelings.
🌈 Emotions Check-In: A great daily tool with personalised prompts to help pupils express and explore their emotions.
🔑 Zones of Regulation Key Ring: Help pupils to recognise their emotions and select practical strategies like deep breathing, asking for help or taking a break to self-regulate effectively.
Let’s create an environment where emotions are understood and valued.
